Our indexable dado cutter (aka: band notch cutter) is the preferred cutting tool for new or recycled pallet manufacturers. They can be used on machines ranging from shop-built to OEMs for cross-cutting or with-the-grain profiles. Use our indexable dado cutter to make clearance notches in wooden components for steel, poly, or polyester strapping. Our various carbide-grade notcher inserts allow the head to cut various types of wood:
• Knotty pine or frozen lumber
• Wood with some nails (Nailbuster® technology)
• Wood with lots of nails (Nailbuster® NX technology)

All notching inserts can be sharpened or replaced at our in-house service center. Inserts sent in for service go through an incoming quality check to determine if they can be resharpened. If they have been reground multiple times and become too small or become excessively chipped they will be replaced with new ones.
